Trip Yamagata Japan

Built to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Matsuo Basho’s visit to Yamadera, the Yamadera Basho Memorial Museum exhibits Basho’s handwritten letters and calligraphy in addition to materials related to his “Narrow Road to the Deep North” journey. Visitors may also view a film on Basho on the museum premises.
